Ilene Lander was born with a caterer’s spoon in her mouth. Her parents, the successful owners of Party House Caterers in Cedarhurst, Long Island, trained her at an early age in the art of party giving. She helped stage many gala events, and by age 20, became a party supervisor. Ilene holds degrees in Speech and Theatre Arts, and English. After a ten year teaching engagement and four years in advertising, Ilene returned to the world of catering.

In 1982, Ilene created Table of Contents, Inc. Her knowledge of the catering business gave her a decided advantage over the established names, and in five years time, her reputation earned her such clients as Chase Manhattan Bank, First Boston and American Express.

Ilene’s extensive travel has given her a keen awareness of food, style and ambiance that is reflected in each of the special events she creates. Her warmth and dramatic flair make every event a perfect performance.

Ilene has served as Vice President of Education of ISES, the International Special Events Society, New York Chapter for several years. She also teaches “How to Become an Event Planner” at the New School University.
